The Network

The "afresh" project takes a multi-faceted approach. Its themes of healthy food and physical activity link the project to a variety of networks. These networks are involved with research in the food and in the nutrition sector, with the physical activity sector and with EU health policy. They are also active on EU technology platforms.

"afresh" is member ot the European Food Cluster Initiative ("FCI"), organized by the European Commission.

The Food Cluster Initiative

The European Food-cluster initiative is a 'pilot' scheme designed to establish European clusters of coordination in order to enhance regional research capacity building and regional economic development with significant impact at local level.

HEPA Europe - European network for the promotion of health-enhancing physical activity

Hepa Europe is a collaborative project which works for better health through physical activity among all people in the WHO European Region.

EU Platform for Action on Diet, Physical Activity and Health

A forum for actors at European level who can commit their membership to engage in concrete actions designed to contain or reverse current trends.

EuroAgri FoodChain

EuroAgri FoodChain is an international thematic network within EUREKA, an international platform for R&D performing entrepreneurs.
